The American Trucking Trends 2023 report is put together using data collected from the American Trucking Association. Covering 2022, trucking industry professionals can see everything from the gross revenues to how many trucks were on the road.

Non-farm payrolls grew by 187,000 in August, although it will be interesting to see how these numbers are revised for September’s report. Unemployment increased slightly to 3.8%, while the labor force participation rate also increased minimally to 62.8%.

There are long hours behind the wheel for many truckers. From crossing the country to visiting ports and warehouse facilities, all of the U.S.’s imported goods have to be picked up and delivered, and all of our products built for export must be taken to the coasts and airports to be shipped out.
